I’m definitely going to follow some of the tips. Although there are a lot of great suggestions on useful items, my biggest goal is to pack as light as possible and to my itinerary loose and light. Here’s my packing list for my small backpack at the moment:

Travel docs (passport, credit card, ID)
deodorant
2 pairs of shorts
2 T-Shirts
2 pairs of underwear
swimming trunks
1 book
diary and pen
camera, charger

Everything I need, I buy in Thailand.

Many of the tips trip were about packing: how light tackle and which items are essential or useful. What follows are some of the best, but be aware that there may be conflicting travel tips – choose the one that will work best for you.

Leave the laptop behind, as well as another tech gadget. Bring along a small folding umbrella that helps protect you from the UV rays of the sun and possible rain. Most toiletries can be found in the country of bestemming. Breng a book along, easy and when you’re ready, find a book exchange and exchange it for a new one.
